I upgraded my PC from an AMD Duron 800 MHz with 384 MB PC133 RAM to an 2000 GHz AMD Sempron with 512 MB 3200 RAM, keep in mind I am also using a different motherboard. I am using the same 80 gig hard drive and the same DVD burner. I am using DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.0, DVD Shrink 3.2, and Nero Burning Rom 5.5. When I try to backup my DVD, I get and error durning the verification process when I burn with Nero. Using the upgraded PC, my shrink time is cut in half. I tried to burn at a 4x speed and have the same result. Is it possible that my shrinking is too fast? I have no problem using the slower PC. Any suggestions? Thanks!

its hard to help with your error if you dont tell us what the error is

I don't think you are shrinking too fast.
I'm assuming you reinstalled the OS when you upgraded the MB and processor?
To rule out Nero problems, you might try burning with Decrypter. -
you did reformat the hard drive after putting in new motherboard
if you dont this leads to slow running pc and lots of problems and stability issues -
try a dvd which doesnt have to be shrunk
decrypt with dvddecryptor
burn with nero
also may be worth trying a newer nero not that the old versions shouldnt work but it may lead to a disc compatability issue or some other error -
you cant 'shrink to fast', so lets count that out immediately. The first thing I would look at is a better verification method. Nero's verification is ropey at best. The only part of the Nero toolkit I use any more is the CD/DVD Speed Test. If it shows a nice curve then I leave it at that. If it shows any dips then I'll do a read test with DVD Info Pro. If it passes that I declare it fit for purpose and move on. If it fails the read test then it gets binned (I burn with DVD Decrypter or CopytoDVD, so a binning is a very rare event).
Secondly, burn with DVD Decrypter, especially if using Shrink. It is much more reliable than Nero.Read my blog here.

FYI,
My problem turned out the be my hard drive. It was a WD 80 gig that is about a year old. I put in an older 30 gig hard drive, and had not error since then. The funny thing about it is that the hard drive gave no problems backing up my DVD's with a slower processor. Thanks to all!
