  1. Hi there everyone,

You've all been excellent help in the past, I'm wondering if anyone can give me a suggestion here...

I have an obscure .AVI which is in Portugeuse (spelling?) or whatever it is that they speak in Brazil. I have a .SUB file which matches the .AVI.

How do I combine them so that I can have, what I hope, is english subtitles or even an english dub while watching the .AVI. (not as good as subtitles in this case!)

Ultimately, I will be burning this to a DVD. Will a DVD player recognise the .SUB file? Do I combine them into one file before burning? I burn with Toast, usually data DVDs with multiple .AVI files OR I use Toast to encode an AVI and burn as a DVD-Video disc.

Phew, hope I haven't confused anyone.

In short: how do I use my .SUB file.

    Thank you!
    - Martin!

whatever? Don't be rude. The official language of Brazil is Portuguese, which you easily could have looked up.

    OBmacvideo: ffmpegX can do that.
