I have this as my DVD-Rom and a TDK DVDRW420N burner. I have been having problems with my Lite-On not reading disc's, so i upgraded my firmware from GHR3 to GHR8. That did not solve my problem and now i have a bigger problem as my TDK is now disabled and doesn't even show up under My Computer. I went to Device Manager, and it shows it there, but has an X through it. Under properties it says this device is disabled (code 22), and Windows will not enable it. I have AnyDVD which i use with CloneDVD that i have been doing for a long time. Please someone help me resolve this situation.....Thanks!

Update....I went into Device Manager and uninstalled my TDK then rebooted, and Windows reinstalled it. Now neither of my drives will play a DVD..........HELP!!!!!!!

Uninstall the IDE channel it's on and reboot. If that doesn't help open the PC and disconnect/reconnect the cables to the drives. Still no luck then you can try a system restore to a time when the drives were working properly.

Not for sure how to do that..Iknow when the PC boots it says my TDK is secondary slave, so do i go into Device Manager and uninstall Secondary IDE channel?

exactly. unistall the Secondary IDE Channel. Reboot and it'll redetect the channel and the drives on it.
