not workin.....its stoppin at 61% and retries for the longest........................................... .i kno, im a rookie

look on the DVD surfact, you may find a big greasy thumbprint or even better a bit of dirt stuck on the surface, try cleaning it and try ripping it again
If this still fails to rip, and you have access to a DVD-Rom and DVD burner in your system, try ripping it with the DVD burner, I've had the odd DVD that refuses to rip in my DVD-ROM, but did rip via the DVD burner
Also, if you really want this DVD, try the ignore read error option in DVD Decrypter, or just rip the main movie only -
Make sure the disc is not scratched/damaged. See if it stalls at the same point in a standard DVD player.

Once in a blue moon you get a disc that can not copy it has a bad burn error on it.
Try backing up the movie only. -
I tried backing up a store bought copy. I started to watch the backup to see if it was ok, but 28 minutes into it the disc just froze up. I thought it was the disc, so I put the original DVD in and it also stalled in 3 different places. Mybe it was a funky disc. It wouldnt be the first time an I bought ann orignal disc and it was bad.

DO NOT USE ANYDVD WHEN USING DVDDECRYPTER.
thats just stupid, totally stupid.even the creator of dvddecrypter agrees that its pointless.
blade trinity is a bit f*cked up anyways.not the best authoring done on that movie.
try a movie files only copy, with dvddecrypter, then get dvd2one,and remove the messed up cells, and then continue,it should work fine after that.
is it the extended version you have, because thats the one i did and it worked eventually.LifeStudies 1.01 - The Angle Of The Dangle Is Indirectly Proportionate To The Heat Of The Beat,Provided The Mass Of The Ass Is Constant. -

my copy ripped fine in Decryptor 3.1.90. also if you rip movie only you are going to have a choice of 2 of them on the disc. one is I think 10 or 18 minutes shorter than the other.
-
You said it stopped at the same point - what error message did you get? If it's an I/O error, then it's a bad disc. If it's dirty, clean it. If it's scratched, try DVD-Dr or SkipDr to repair the disc. If it
s a bad burn, take it back to the store you bought it from and get another. -
I just ripped it with the latest version of dvd decrypter . No problems at all. You must have a funky disc.
-
the originals freeze on some if not most dvd players, especially on the so called branching parts, what with there being the extended version on the discs.really bad authoring.

by chance if you are trying to rip blade trinity with a aopen 1648/aap then thats your problem i got the same error as u on every program i tried until i put the disc in my nec 3520 and ripped it successfully
-
I had the exact same problem, at the same place.
only, I'm sure my problem was a little different - see, mine had one of the kids fingerprint smudge on it.
ah yes, nothing like 6 year olds and grilled cheese filled fingers.
anyway, a good cleaning, and I was on my way backing mine up.
ok, doesnt help anyone.. but thought I'd share....scratch the surface off a cynic - you will find a disillusioned idealist. -
The problem seems to be with the mastering of the disks. I purchased and then exchanged twice and came up with the same issues. A lot of the bad disks obviously made it to market. The orginals , as stated earlier in the thread, also have problems in playback.
-
I have now purchased my third copy of the movie and find the same problem...it appears as if there is indeed a mastering issue. It does not include disk 2 which backs up fine. I was able to back up a copy of the main movie using DVD Shrink. The error lies in the extended version of the feature film.

This is odd, I ripped the whole thing with the latest DVDDecrypter (getting in the habit of using that first regardless). Then reauthored the extended movie in DVDShrink, with just one audio track it required no compression at all. That went just peachy also.
Never noticed anything out of the ordinary. How come I always miss these problems?Only one I ever had to mess with was "The Forgotten" to get rid of the blank 20 seconds or so at the beginning.
BTW, really dumb movie.Pull! Bang! Darn! -
Luck of the draw I guess
