  1. Ok... I have a 25 fps mpeg2. I want to burn it to DVD as NTSC...
soooooooo... I converted back to divx at a very high bitrate as to not lose quality (I find working with avi's easier), demuxed the avi (VDub), used Vdub to convert the 25 fps video to 23.976 fps, and used Besweet to convert the audio to 23.976.
Now my question is... when I use CCE SP to re-encode back to mpeg2 so I can author it I use 2:3 pulldown for obvious reasons.....
Now my question is, when you use 2:3 pulldown on the video can I still use my converted 23.976 audio file for the sound? Or does it have to have some kind of 2:3 pulldown filter on it as well? Will it be out of sync?
    Ye know what I mean?
Because I did author it, and when watched on a virtual dvd player (Power DVD) it seemed flawless. But when I burned it, by the end of the movie it had sync problems....

One more question, when burning the final product to DVD is there a preferred burn speed? Slower = Better?

If someone could help me out that would be great... thanks guys.

A 3:2 pulldown shouldn't effect the video runtime. Therefor if the audio runs in sync with the 23.976fps audio, it should also after the pulldown.

Slower is not always better. Depends on the burner and the media.

When you apply pulldown flags you don't actually change the number of frames in the video, or the runtime of the video. You are just adding markers to tell the playback device to add extra frames (which it creates on the fly) during playback to suit 29.976 fps display devices (your TV).

I always burn at the maximum rated speed of the blank (never higher, even if the burner can) or the maximum speed of the burner (if it slower than the disk rating). If you have to burn slower there is a problem with your burner or your blanks.
