I have a Yamaha DVD player that I paid AU$499 late 2002 and it needs to be serviced. I saw a Tevion DVD player advertised by ALDI for $79 this week and deceided to buy, rather than having the Yamaha serviced.
What a surprise, it plays 'ALL' types of media including MP4 and DIVX. Another feature that I especially appreciate is, pressing the zoom button once (x1.5) it plays narrow mirror type images and 16:9 images at 4:3 without notitable loss of picture quality and without interuption whilst in the play mode, great feature if you own a 4:3 TV set. If there is any reason to leave the room whilst a movie is playing, I simply press the stop button, upon return I press play and it resumes playing the movie at the point where it was stopped.
At AU$79 it is the best buy I have made in a long time.
