Either one of those look OK. It looks like the Samsung player will play DivX.

My preference would be for the seperate components. Why ? Because the player is likely to die before the amp. You can replace it cheaply, or plug in a second player or DVB box etc. Buy an all-in-one and the player dies, you have nothing left.

Both look OK for the money, but seperate components give you more freedom and better reliability.

Seperate components are my choice also, but the in low cost market, either of those would suffice. Besides, if the player dies, you could just get another DVD player and feed it into the existing amp.

  5. i have had both configrations in my course of time. i would prefer a dvd player + AVR because they have more power and you have more control over how you want to set up and they are better decoder than the all - in one
