    Is that still necessary to install? If so, should you still install it w/the QT mpeg-2 component?


    Also, is it necessary to install the DivX AND the XviD plug-ins?

    #1. If you want to be able to play AC3 audio in QT, and you
    do not have A.Pack installed, then yes you will need it.
    And by all means, Yes Yo should also install the
    QT-mpeg-2 playback plug-in.

    #2. Yes, neither will interfere with the
    other, and will insure you can play back
    a wide range of .avi files in QT.
    Plus, the 3ivx plugin will enable you
    to export your video at a very HQ
    close to the original source.

    I'll install both avi codecs [divx/xvid], the AC3 component, and the Flip4Mac WMV player.

    Hopefully that will cover pretty much everything :X
