hi friends, how can I know which codecs I have installed on my PC? exist any program to know it? I want to know which codec and which version of it to be sure when I will encode, any idea about?

AVIcodec is easy. Should give you a list of codecs. Just click 'codecs and filters'.
There are other programs that may give a better listing, and I believe you can get them from the XP OS without any exterior programs.
EDIT: Found it. Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices > Hardware > Video Codecs > Properties. But the AVIcodec list is easier.
