I have an iMac G4, 800mhz and I don't know if it is normal or not but exporting a movie from FCP using COMPRESSOR's presets (sometimes with 90 or 120 minutes), takes around 15 to 17 hours..... . Is it normal or am I doing something wrong ? Or it is just because I don't have a faster computer ?
Thanks.....

Don't use the pre-canned template settings in Compressor, because they aren't smartly
optimized for your specific video needs.
See my post in the other thread about how you should
create your own custom preset."Everyone has to learn, so that they can one day teach."

on a dp 800 g4, 60 minutes takes me about 10-11 hours with custom or preset settings at 2 pass vbr. so it's probably right for your machine. if you do constant bitrate 1 pass it'll be faster, not sure how much faster though.
