  1. This is driving me crazy and I was wondering if someone maybe had an idea.

    I have a wireless linksys network adapter, WMP11 http://www.linksys.com/products/product.asp?grid=33&scid=36&prid=196
and it was working fine with WinXP SP1, but I reformateed today and putin SP2. Now, it won't even acklowdge that my network card is installed or anything. It's like it's not there, but the green light on the netowrk card is on, so it should be working fine.

Anyone know what the problem is? The latest drives for the network card from linksys is from 2003, so is it that SP2 won't work with this? Is there a fix or am I stuck with SP1?

Does it show up in Device Manager?
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

  4. SSID broadcast turned off at the router? If SSID was turned off before all this- then after wards the card would need to find the SSID after re-installing it. Once it finds the SSID you can turn it back off providing there isn't too much interference from other networks.

Firmware update for router was released this month. Not sure how critical it is for updating the cards though.

The example is for a diferent NIC, but the process should be the same.
