  1. Hi guys,

I've got myself a Belkin bluetooth dongle for my PC, and I have successfully connected it up and paired with my Logitech Mobile Freedom headset. I can hear sounds out of it, but I have discovered that the microphone volume is far too low.

I have been into the advanced audio properties, and Bluetooth audio doesn't appear to have a "Mic Boost" option on it as my normal audio device does. I have tested the microphone, and it picks up sound when you tap on it but isn't sensitive enough for voices.

It works perfectly with my mobile, so I know the headset is OK.

I'd really appreciate any advice or solutions anyone might have.

    Many thanks,

    Cobra

Only thing I could think of would be a registry tweak to increase the volume of the input device. Which key to modify is the question. You can determine the registry keys being accessed by loading REGMON from http://www.sysinternals.com .

This product MIGHT be interesting (and applicable ?)

While unrelated to your specific headset, I found a thread about tweaking volume levels on another bluetooth device. Perhaps there are some hints that might be applicable to your situation.

  4. Got it. Still having some (unrelated) trouble, but it does work and people can now hear me.

Thanks, Soopafresh! I appreciate your help.
