Anyone know an inexpensive tool (for Windows) that will allow me to sync an overdubbed vocal track?
I'm creating a video for my granddaughter. Her grandmother is reading a story. To avoid the video recorder noise I used a separate mic and recorded her voice separately. Syncing this was relatively easy. I used Cool Edit to compensate for the slight difference in recording speeds.
The problem comes with some close-ups that I recorded separately. I would like to try to get the voice over to match lip movement as closely as possible.
I've been using Cool Edit to adjust word placement to match the sound on the close up track by hand but this is very tedious. The first 2 minute close-up took many hours of hand editing. I have 4 more close-ups to go. I'd like to speed this up if possible (Christmas is fast approaching).
I have found a commercial product called VOCAlign that does this but it is for Mac and appears to be a costly part of an even more costly suite. I was wondering if anyone knew a tool that is available for less. Even a fully functioning demo would work for the period of time that I need it.
