    Greetings

    I'm looking to buy this burner and noted on their web site the following claim:

    Achieves 16x write performance with recommended 8x DVD±R media
    I was hoping to hear if anyone has actually proven this claim ?

    Well I don't have experience w/ that burner but my memorex burns Linkyo 8X @ 12X so i guess its possible....

    MANY burners are capable of burning 8x media at 16x, nothing unique about the Plextor being able to as well.

    I will say that I have burnt TY 8X media @ 16x with my PX716a with excellent results.
