I'm using Intervideo DVD Copy 3. I'm trying to back up Pirates of the Caribbean which is a full size DVD (bigger than a single layer will hold without compression) I used DVD Decrypter to decrypt the DVD to my hard drive. I selected to copy the entire disk and then checked to "Fit to One Disk" Then I encoded and burned it. The video is fine but the problem is there is no sounds in the main movie. There is sounds in other parts such as the THX demo, and various trailers, as well as in the menus. At that point I threw the silent coaster away and burned again thinking I had somehow unchecked one of the sounds options. I reloaded the image from the files on my drive, I previewed the movie to make sure and the sound was present. I then verified that all the sound options were checked for the main movie file. Everything was fine. so I repeated the process and still I get the same output a DVD with no sound for the main movie. I tried using DVDShrink to encode the movie and that program works fine. I have also used Intervideo to backup Napoleon Dynamite and it worked fine for that, although the entire movie fit on a single layer disk with no need for compression. Does anyone know why I might be getting no sound?

  2. Sorry I had version 2 of Intervideo DVD Copy last year and never could get it to work properly. After lots of customer service emails and forums troubleshooting, I just gave up and went with the free DVDshrink which in combination with DVD Decrypter worked for me. Can't say I had anything good to say about Intervideo DVD Copy after that.
