I had no problem downloading it from the address in 'Tools' to the left. <<<

Maybe your antivirus or other program is interfering.

From what I have read you don't want to download it anyway. Poor quality output and poor quality program.

For $500US, it would have to be incredibly good.

I might play with the trial version, but I have no intention of buying it.

    Thanks for your replies.
When I followed the link in Tools section and click on "Download Demo", all I got is some strange .php file of few kb. I've tried with a download menager and with "Save target as", but no luck.
    Too bad. I don't understand what's wrong.
I sure would like to try it and compare it with Nero Digital.

hmmm, can you go to MC's site, and download it directly from them???

    EDIT:

when downloading from them directly, they had these interesting notes:
    <<<
NOTE: Some browsers don't allow for proper transmission of file names. If "fdl.php" appears as the name for the saved file, please replace it with "h264encoderv1.0.0.exe" (without the quotation marks).

If you have any problems downloading our demo versions (e.g. 0-kybte files) and use Norton Internet Security 2003, we recommend disabling this function during download. We will update our website next week to address this problem.

    Thank you GeorgW.
    That's it - that "fdl.php".
I use Internet Explorer, but I do not use Norton Internet Security 2003.
I tried again with some combinations with file name, but still no luck.
I'll see if they fix something next week.
    No big deal anyway.
