I just took my ZIP250 out of my computer and put in the 120GB Seagate drive I had in an external enclosure. Now I'd like to put the zip drive in a 3.5" external enclosure but I'm having some trouble finding one with an open face for such drives. They all seem designed for HDD with a closed face. Any recommendations?

Looks like you could use a 5.25 to 3.5 drive adapter. Then you could use the more common 5.25 external case. It would be larger, but a lot easier to find.
Here's one. http://www.xoxide.com/lian-li-mf-515-drive-adapter-silver.html
I'm not recommending this particular one, just found it in a quick Google search. -
I may look into that. Although if it comes to that I could likely just modify the solid face plate for the 5.25 enclosure I took the HDD out off. I just wanted a smaller enclosure for it but that may be asking too much.

Why maintain a Zip drive on your system, Poppa ? Just curious why you're still using one.

Originally the only way I had to transfer data from my extremely old PC to my newer one was the ZIP100 I had in the old DELL. So I ordered my new one with a ZIP250 in it. The only computer is fried now and I don't really use the ZIP250 anymore but a friend of mine has sever older systems with ZIP drives in then so I use this on occasion to send software and whatnot to him without wasting discs. I have plenty of ZIP100 discs and I can overwrite them numerous times so I might as well use them. Its nice to have something like this I can take with me places as well, though my CD-RW in an external enclosure would work just as well for that I guess. I just don't want to abandon it I guess?

Thats actually the one I'm looking at. I found a photo of the box and it lists ZIP drives as a suitable use for it. I've found a few others that look like they would work but I haven't found any pics that show for certain how the faceplace removes.
Thanks for the input.
