    Can anyone of you tell me how I get one entire movie down on ONE vcd

    TMPGEnc, CQ ~55, min 500 kbps, max 1300 will fit ~2 h on a 80 min VCD (with 128 kbps audio). If it will play on your standalone player is a completely different question. Playing on computer- no prob.

    My Philips DVD 622 plays these, but freezes once in a while (but it freezes even with some standard VCDs).

    If the movie is over 2 h you really can't get acceptable quality on 1 cd rip.
