  1. I was wondering is it possible to reduce file size for mpeg 1 or avi? im trying to put 26 mpeg files in one dvd disc but doesnt fit.

so i was wondering if someone knows how to compress files or at least reduce their sizes. i usually exceed more than 4.7 gb.

so how can you compress or reduce avi or mpeg?

  2. You need to reduce the bitrate for the videos, so they can fit. TMPGEnc can do it.

    hi

As mentioned earlier change bitrate in TMPGenc to allow small file outputs. Secondly, dont forget DVD Shrink afterwards. Typically a 8.3/8.4gb file can just about compress to get onto a single dvd without a noticeable loss of quality-at least not that i could really see but i'm sure there is some.
End of the day, it depends on the quality of your source and the quality you want out at the other end-compress too much and it may end up looking like crap!
