  1. I've got a rather nasty problem with my NIS: Whenever i try to add a program to the manual program control to allow it access to the internet i get to the point where i can choose the rule, but after clicking ok the program just hangs itself. Cant even shut it down in the task manager or make a restart. I have to shut off the power. The same thing happens even when trying to remove existing entries. So now i cannot add any new programs to the allow connections list and i dont want to disable my firewall completely.

Do you have administrator rights in your account (XP/Win2k admin, not NIS) ?

Have you tried uninstalling, using the nortons removal tool (google for it), and reinstalling ?

Do you use live update and are you current ?
