  1. Hi Folks

Been experiencing a weird problem with files frameserved from PremierePro to TmpgEnc. Whenever exporting from Premiere, the video produced by TmpgEnc takes twice the normal amount of time to re-encode and the resulting mpeg is twice the running time. The second half of the mpeg is black/blank video. A 1 minute test clip comes out to 2 minutes (1 minute of the test video plus 1 minute of blankness).

Already tried uninstalling everything that was installed after the last time everything was working fine. Also tried uninstalling/reinstalling premiere, the pluginpak framserver and tmpg.

    Any ideas???

Tried change the directshow reader priority(both higher and lower it) in tmpgenc?

You can also use the source range in tmpgenc to select exact what to encode.

  3. Hi Baldrick
Newp...haven't tried the directshow reader priority (yet)...will play with it this weekend.

Funny thing about the source range....it shows the video only (without the extra blankness). If the wizard is used, everything seems fine until it gets to the estimated filesize screen. That's the first place it shows that the video's going to be double-size.

Thanks for directshow suggestion (I'm not clear on directshow so am not sure how that might help but will certainly give it a try).

    Thanks again!

You can also try Debugmode FrameServer or maybe pluginpak is the same?

  5. Yeah...that's the one I'm using. Also tried the videotools.net one...same results.

Something must've changed and/or corrupted...never had this problem before.
