Just getting my toes wet with encoding and just for practice I am trying to encode a 10 second or so vidie clip as a VCD and I keep getting this error: TMPGENC caused a divide error in module XMDAUDIODECODE.DLL at 0167:1000b66e. I was getting it earlier in the process but after I tried playing around the environmental settings on the VAPI Plug-in Tab (Priority), I got farther along. Any ideas why this is happening? I'm using version 2.00.29.

    thanks

  2. That DLL sounds alot like XinMPEG Digital Audio Decoder, which doesn't make sense what so ever if you are using TMPGEnc, you don't happen to have Xing anywhere installed have you ?

if this is a divx file or one you downloaded it may have a corruted frame which tmpenc will stop on every time, one fix to this whic works most of the time is to use vdub and make a direct stream copy. Then encode the copy.
