I come for the chicks
Working in a tech support role means I'm quite adept at holding peoples' hands through scary, scary stuff like creating shortcuts on their desktops, etc etc. I guess helping is just in my nature, and I have a keen interest in video and so when the two collide, here I am.If in doubt, Google it. -
If I try to leave, they'll kill me.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
I tried to leave... but it is scary outside..

I belong to a few smaller forums but this is by far one of the most active per capita.
Some places hide stuff and increase what you can view based on the amount of your cash donations or in some cases at the discretion of the administrators and mods.
I joined one site not long ago using another ID (not stricty video related). They have been around over a year and have a fair number of users. The top 5 users have a few thousand posts, the next 10 are in the hundreds and the next 10 users drop down to about 25 posts. The majority of the users are from 1 too 25 posts. Within 3 days and without really trying I have made it to the top 25 posters and I haven't posted in a few days because I felt like my posts were dominating different areas of the forum too much. 5 days later my posts (comments and new threads) have still not been added to and my userid still shows as last poster in almost all recent threads. The mods are not participating at all. 2 of the mods have 30 to 35 posts each. I saw threads appealing for members to post but if the admin and mods won't answer feedback threads or keep things alive by just adding something to a thread that forum may die soon. I suspect that the few who were contributing the most have gotten frustrated and left.
This is what makes this place so great. The level of meaningful activity and the variety of comments and personalities keeps the place fresh and new. The administration and moderators are involved and help to keep things moving. -
