  1. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a program to fix some audio i recorded using dbpoweramp's recorder

its audio from a rom that i let play so i could capture it. its an old rom game(pacman), so obviously this isnt some sound rich file lol, but i dont know if it was the emulator or what, but it is choppy in parts, with various other 'little' crackles and such that just take away from the audio.

what im wondering is if there is a program that can analyze the audio and make appropriate adjustments to filter out these things. i tried a couple i saw on here, but it all has to be done manually, and i have no idea what the various adjustments do lol. thanks

  2. Every audio editing program there is must do things manually. There is no automatic sound cleaner-upper.
Try some of the preset filters in Goldwave.

  3. Just curious, it could be the emulator. So what version of pacman is it (arcade, atari, etc)? And what emulator are you using it with?

you should look for an emulator that will capture the soundtrack to .wav directly. I did that with super mario bros. using NESticle to make
