  1. When will we see DVD players and disks that conform to HD-TV standards of resolution? I'm talking 720p and 1080i, etc.

    supports hdtv mpeg2 ts....but I would wait for hddvd or blueray players.

    The I-O Data DVD player does support HD now, but only for DivX. You can get info at

    Sony and (I think) Toshiba are in talks to unify the two HD camps into one format. If that happens, it may delay the introduction of HD on DVD.
