Basically I have the philips 642 player and I don't know what options have changed in AutoGK, but now whenever I encode something it throws in some serious b-frames that screw everything up. It either doesn't play or it looks insane on screen.
I'd rather not go to divx home theater mode but I may have to. What settings do I need to do and where do I do them? AUtoGK has shit for options quite honestly, and in vdubmod I just saw quality dropdowns which weren't descriptive
This USED to work.. please help![]()

I've got a Norcent 220, which is almost the same machine and has the same ESS chipset (wulf109 confirmed this). I've done several XVID conversions using AutoGK and I've had no playback problems, I just made sure that I selected the ESS compatibility options when I installed it - I think the only way to select these options is at the point of installing, so you may want to reinstall. CTRL-F9 gives you 'hidden' options, but controlling B-frames is not part of the options.

I usually had ESS compat selected, maybe I missed it this time around, but I'll have to try.
I was reading another one, does it have consecutive B-frame amounts that you can change? And thatnks for the C-F9 tip
