  1. I have a fairly new sony dvd player that i KNOW is capable of playing vcds.. im not sure about the model however... what my question is is this: me and a friend tried to burn an audio cd on a cdr and it didnt work in the dvd player but then we used a cdrw and it worked... so i took this to mean that some cdrw's would work for vcd as well.. if anyone could tell me what cdrw's or cdr's for that matter work in sony dvd players? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

CD-RW works better than CD-R in most DVD players. But not every brand is the same. You have to try different brands. I found that Mr. Write CD-RW works best. You can order online from http://www.computer123.com at $3.50/10 pcs. Browse:Media, Brand: Friendly CD Tek.
