Hi, I've tried different progrmas to conver an divx movie to dvd. I've tried u-lead dvd creator, D.i.k.o, dvd santa, VSO DivxToDVD, and winDVD creator. My computer always crashes during the conversion process with any of these programs. I get the "serious problem window" Very few times I've been able to complete a movie. Can anybody give some ideas on what my problem could be? I am running windows professional Service pack 2 on a AMD Athlon XP 2700, 2.16 GHz, and 512 mb ram. ANy help would be appreciated....

Use codec sniper to remove the Divx and Xvid codecs on your machine. Download the latest versions of each and reinstall. Try converting again. It sounds like a corrupt or old codec is causing you grief.

guns1inger I followed your instructions, no luck. This happens with any DIVX movie. Any other ideas?

Athlon XP 2700: could be overheating. Check the CPU's heat sync -- clear out all the dust. Make sure the CPU fan is still working. Add more case fans.
