  1. Hello all...

I am downloading that new Star Wars fan film, Revelations. There is a MOV version and a WMV version - both sized at 250MB.

I'm wondering which would be better to convert into a DVD, the MOV or the WMV file, or if it even matters?

    Any thoughts?

Depends on how they compressed it.

If you've got broadband, download both. See how they look, and use the better one. It really does depend on how they put them together.

Do not bother with either of them - the quality will be dreadful - cast iron guarantee.

You need to take a look on vcdquality - that will tell u information.

  5. yeah, I know quality will not be that great from either one... maybe VCD is the way to go. I'd just rather sit down and watch it on the TV rather than sit in front of my computer, that's all.

I did download both and the wmv appears to be a little better video-wise, and MUCH better on audio. Now I just need to find those WMV-to-whatever guides...

Is there a program that will give the specs on each of the files similar to GSpot for avi's?

    Thanks for the responses!

    WMP will.
As for converting I would use TMPGEnc,MPEG-1 encoding is free.
