ok well heres is what I would like to do and what files I have. Any help and advice is greatly aprecated. I have 3 SVCD's in PAL and I want my end product to be a NTSC DVD with Menu and a Scene slection screen. (i know theres not supposed to be any dvd stuff here so that part i'll get to later)

Now i've tryed acouple guides and programs etc. and something always seem to not work. I have most of the common programs... and procoder 2, CCE SP,sony vegas 5 and dvd architect 2...etc if i need something else for what I need to do I'll get it if need be. Now here are the files and there specs using avi codec:

sc1.mpg, sc2mpg, sc3.mpg all are the same, except for duration and size:

    File : 729 MB (768 MB), duration: 0:39:10, type: MPG, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 65 %
    Video : 705 MB, 2520 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 480*576 (0.83:1), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported
    Audio : 62 MB, 224 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported

Now I joined them using TMPGEnc Plus giving me 1 mpeg with the same specs as above with a duration of 2:03:10 (ok well avi codec says 0 .... ?)

Now I followed this guide to convert its from PAL to NTSC:
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=166237

and ran into problems. I tryed to put the .d2v file into TMPGEnc Plus and i got "file "............d2v" can not open, or unsuported"

so i tryed skipping using the .d2v file and just encoded using my mpeg. after that was done I was left with this file sc_ntsc.mpeg specs:

    File : 1.59 GB (0.0 B), duration: 0:00:00, type: MPG, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 69 %
    Video : 0.0 B, 1600 Kbps, 29.970 fps, 480*480 (1.0:1), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported
    Audio : 0.0 B, 224 Kbps, 44100 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported

ok so i got my framerate changed and the movie was all there just no audio ofcourse. then i proceded to multiplex like it says, so i go to put in my audio file and i get this "Illegal MPEG audiostream"

So I'm stuck, I've been working on getting this to the final product for days now and nothings working for me or something goes wrong. I am new to this but have been reading up so I know abit. I do have a menu and scene selection all done in sony dvd architect 2 (I had/have problems with the menus not showing when I author the dvd but I found sort of a fix or more of a bandaid soulution) but when the NTSC dvd is created the audio sync is off abit starting about half way threw, getting worse and worse from there on. So I figured if I started with a NTSC mpeg to try and solve that problem.

Well thanks in advance, any input is great

PS, I want to make this most compatible as possible, i know it depends on media and other factors but in the sense of file format and structure i want to try to make as widely compatible as it can be.

  2. If DVD Architect can accept elementary streams load them without multiplexing.
