I am not sure if anyone is going to be able to help me here but I have an archos AV 400, that I recorded from, I want to take the video that I recorded from the TV and create an MP3 the video recorded.
I am not sure what program I should use. or how I would even begin to do this. I know its possible. I also would like to edit the video.
Thanks for all the help in advance.

Audio from AVI might (not always, but often) be extracted by loading the AVI in Goldwave. Then it's just to save (WAV).

Goldwave is a good option. Or load file in VirtualDubMod. goto Streams > Streams List. Select the audio stream and click "Demux". If audio not already MP3 then convert to MP3 using Besweet or HeadAC3he or any other of your liking.
