I'm wondering if there's a tool that can just verify the integrity of an .avi index. I know of several tools for repairing them, but sometimes they generate files with a new index that is equally corrupted. I understand there's a tool called AVIMedic for Windows that'll do this. Does anyone know if there's an equivalent for a Macintosh running OS 9 or X.3, or some kind of Unix or Linux command-line tool?
Just trying to save time and money on useless disks...
Many thanks for any info!
