first i gotta say i love the program.

is there a way to adjust the overall transparency of button highlights so they "tint" the menu instead of covering over it completely? gui for dvdauthor seems to allow it: https://www.videohelp.com/~gfd/GUI_DVDauthor_01Pic/DefSettings8b.png (see the "default highlight properties").

    thanks!

Yes, you may just move the transparency slider to any value between 0 (full opaque) and 99 (total transparent). This can be done in the default settings BEFORE you add any element (movie, button, picture...) or for each menu individually with a right click on the menu background. The values in the default settings will be applied to all 'future' menus (either added manually with 'Add menu' or automatically (adding a movie with 'Use Titlesets=on). GFD remembers the last used settings (saved in the registry) but you may use your own 'presets' if you save them as 'empty' projects.

I'm not sure if you were referring to my gui or not, but currently, there isn't a way to adjust the transparency. That may change gown the road though.
