    Start with these guides:

    http://www.divxland.org/permanentsubtitling.htm

    or try simply to use Vurtualdubmod:

    1. Start VirtualDubMod. Click File->Open video file. Open the avi.
    2. Click Streams->Stream list. New window will open where you can see the audio stream of the avi. Right click on the audio stream->select DirectStreamCopy.
    3. The same window right hand there are diferent buttons, the second from the top is "Add". Click it. From dropdown menu for the file type select SRT file(*.srt). Browse to the .srt file and open it -> it will appear in the stream list. Click OK.
    4. Click Video->select Directstreamcopy.
    5. Click File->Save as.... Give a name to the file (different from the source file). Click Save.

    So, this is the way you mux subs with VirtualDubMod ( the so-called Soft Muxed Subs). Am I right - I don't think so - lol? I wasjust wondering how i get Soft muxed subs and how I demux the subs later (exactly like AC-3 that can be muxed and demuxed from the container).
    Thanks in advance.
