I found out that I can capture video onto my hard drive with my Iomega Super DVD QuikTouch, however, it is in VOB format. Anyone know how I can convert this into MPG format? Thanks.

  3. BlawBlaw, give details as to what you what you want to do by converting to MPEG. If you just want to view on your PC, VOB is fine. Otherwise use TMPGEnc to encode to MPEG. Only if audio is AC3 then you may have problems with TMPGEnc as it dose not recognize AC3.

Use rejig or vobedit to convert to video and audio and use bbmpeg to mux to mpg, never encode vob to mpg as they are already mpg with a bit more information stored
