I'm looking for a quick and dirty way of copying 3 DVD discs onto one DVD-R disc without throwing anything away and keeping all the menu functionality of all three discs.

All three discs have < 1.5GB and the sum total of the three will be < 4482MB so they will fit. Is there a way of doing this easily without disassembling the whole lot and reauthoring as one disc?

"Quick and dirty"? "easily"? "without reauthoring"? I don't think so....

  4. My suggestion is to use DVDShrink. You can combine the DVDs you want and if it fits without compression, then you will not lose any quality to recoding. Just use the ReAuthor button, add the contents of each one. DVDRemake will also do it for you. I've used both.

Using Shrink only, you won't be able to keep any menus and stuff - But if that's not an issue, well, then that is a quick & dirty way.

  6. Keeping all the menus + quick & dirty ? No such thing YET !!!!

DVDshrink is quick + dirty but no menus , DVDremake pro could keep all menus but not so quick and dirty ( at least for a noobie , like me ).

Is the author of DVDShrink working on a way to be able to keep the menus in reauthor mode??

  8. According to posts here, it appears that the author of DVDShrink is on Nero's Recode payroll. Don't know if others have taken over DVDShrink project, but would guess it might be so.

Well, actually merging two DVDs could not get any easier then with DvdReMake Pro : "One-click" dvds merging. It is a bit more involved to merge more then two at the moment, but still does not require any deep knowledge about DVD stuff: http://www.cdr-zone.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1425
