    The box says "Playes Windows Media" with the MS logo, does it play them directly off the disc?

    I'm in the middle of The Deer Hunter and taking periodic breaks, so I can't test it right now, but I am very intersted.

    Well, I tried a WMV and it won't work, so I guess "Windows Media" is just for the WMA files?

    probably. And if its like mp3 dvd players, you just burn the wmas to a data disc
