  1. Hello everyone, I have a problem... except I'm not sure it IS a problem..
I use CCE SP to convert divx/xvid's to dvd standard mpegs.
I always use multipass VBR with a max bitrate of 9000, usually low of 2000 and the average varies on the length of the movie obviously.
My problem isnt with the conversion process, I always come out with a nice MPEG.
My problem is when I start up TMPGEnc DVD Author to author the DVD. When I am setting up my video source file (the mpeg I just made), TMPGEnc always gives me an error saying something like:

"MPEG bitrate is larger than 9800, the resulting DVD will be out of standard. etc... "

I can choose to ignore the error but apperently I am making out of standard DVDs.
So why when I'm encoding the mpeg with a max bitrate of 9000 is this error message coming up? It shouldnt be higher than that right?

    I dunno.... any ideas? Fixes?
    Thanks...

I think if you just ignore it it will be fine. I believe what CCE does on VBR encodes is to flag them at the highest bitrate. So i would just author and burn one to a RW disc and check but you should see no trouble.

  3. it sounds like you're using version 2.7 and have for dvd checked. uncheck it or no matter what bitrate you set it will remain at 9800 and give errors in other programs. i hope this helps, later.
