    hi,

im trying to rip my dvds to .mp4 files for my pc. i use dvd decrypter to get them onto hdd, then dgmpegdec, to get a .d2v and .ac3, then avisynth to get the video, and either headac3he or besweet to convert the audio to wav, i want wav so i can boost the audio for listening on psp.

everytime i run the .ac3 through headac3he or besweet (they use the same dlls dont they?), the audio needs a delay of about +300 in vdub.

i dont know why, but it happens everytime, ive tried numerous dvds, and its driving me nuts.

any help would be good, infact any help would be superb!

  2. Why not see if the you can load the vidoe into Gold Wave, then save it as a wave file?

  3. AC3 Delay Corrector

Does the ripped file have the same audio & video length? (PVAStrumento)

    i'll give goldwave a try.

there is no delay on the audios filename. its fine when i just mux the .ac3 with the video into a .avi, but whenever i convert to .wav with the above tools it gets a delay on the audio.

maybe its my machine, but i tried it on my other and the same thing happened, although i did setup both of those myself, so i mightve done something wrong both times.

forgot to say that when i decode to wav using dgmpgdec i get the same delays again.

i worked out it was something to do with my avs script, i was using directshowsource() for the wave file instead of wavsource(). thanks for your help anyway.
