I'm having a problem with programs that bypass copyright protection on DVDs. Whenever I install DVD43Free or any other programs that do the same thing, my computer won't let me open anything. If DVD43Free is running, no programs are able to open if I try opening them. The computer sits and thinks for a second and then just sits there like I never tried opening a program. And I have to hit my restart button to restart because if I try to restart via the start menu, it won't do anything. So pretty much, I have to install DVD43Free to backup a DVD, then manually restart in safe mode to uninstall it and them restart to normal mode. Every copyright program does this except for AnyDVD which my trial ended (can't buy it right now but I will). Does anybody know why it does this or how to fix it?

Please list all the programs you've tried.

DVDDecrypter and DVDShrink are free and the best programs for what they do. They also are not resource hogs and will run just fine with other programs running on the desktop. Why would anyone run anything else?

I'll third DVD Decrypter. It will not hijack your computer, it works flawlessly on everything, it's fast, it's free and it doesn't get any better than that.
