choppy pictures

Hi all. First post and trying to play around here. I made a backup of a couple DVD's and used verbatim 8X Dvd-r's for some and fujifilm for others. I tried to play them on my Mustek R100-A and just about 3/4 of the way in the picture would freeze and get pixely. It seemed to only happen on the fujifilm backups. All seemed to work in my PC. I figured maybe my player is bad so i tried it on my Mom's and got the same problem. Lets say out of 20 chapters it would start to flicker around 15 or 16 but it is always at the end of the DVD, and NEVER in the beginning. One would not play at all in the players and haven't checked it on a PC yet. I am using DVDShrink and Decrypter. I have a lite-on sohw 812S writer. Is it possible that the fuji's aren't working with the writer and causing problems with the backups? My writer is flashed with the newest firmware. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Could be but you said it played fine on pc so it sounds like the players are choking on 'em.
