  1. I know this is not the place for this, but a can't find a forum on the internet about audio, like this one is about video.
    Any sugestions?

    BTW, I want to burn a non-stop music CD, I have all the musics mixed in the Acid Pro, but everytime I burn the CD, I get a small pause betwen songs.
    Even unmarking the 2 seconds option.

    I use MusicMatch to burn the CD.
    Is there a software that can burn a non-stop CD?
    Anyone has ever done something like that?

    I need some help. Thanks.

    I just typed "burning an audio cd without pauses" into Google and recieved 26,400 replies. You can do this with Nero and Vegas to name just two that are popular favorites in these parts.

    Here's the first from the list...

    NERO does this with no problem. Once you drag your wave files to the "Burn" area, right click on them (you can do them all at once), and set "PAUSE" to "0". Just note that there HAS to be a 2 second pause at the beginning of the first file - why this would be noticed is anyone's guess.

    A 2 second pause is a standard setting, and most burning programs default to it.

  5. Also be sure that your source files are .wav - if you converted them to mp3s, small gaps may be introduced, because usually mp3 sample date must have a length of a multiple of something. If your sample data is too short, some digital silence is added, which leads to gaps.
    When you're in a room it should be even more empty

    a) The comments from misterice is important.
    Always remove silent parts before burning if you make/suspect use of mp3 files:
    convertion OK: cda --> wav
    convertion NOT OK: cda --> (wav) --> mp3 --> wav

    If you are using one big single file, remember to split the file in CD sector size: 2352 bytes/588 samples

    Burning:
    You need to record your disc using the format Disc-At-Once (DAO) with 'Pause/Gap' = 0 seconds

    b) If you are playing your CD using a player on your computer, remember that not all audio players will play seamless tracks (tracks without a gap).

    Observe:
    WinAmp v2.91 will NOT play seamless tracks unless a plugin is installed and options/preferences/output is selected as 'Gapless audio output'.
    'Gapless audio output' --> http://winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=107818
    I use this player.

    Windows Media player WILL play seamless tracks

    Nero Media Player will NOT play seamless tracks

    regards

    Save each segment as a separate WAV PCM file.

    IMPORTANT: You must use WAV and not MP3 for this purpose.
    Now burn you audio CD but be sure you have set Disk At Once (DAO) as the mastering method. This will stop the 2 second delay between tracks from being introduced. Thats it - play on your CD player and it will be seamless.

    OBSERVE: The reason you must use WAV PCM rather than standard WAV or mp3 format is because the pcm is the raw data format. The other formats also contain some text header data, which will appear as a tiny little bit of silence at the end of the track.

    You can remove any silence at the beginning and end of the track using
    Goldwave or SoundForge etc.

  8. you can make one whole big file in your sound editor , make all of them as one song. Join all the tracks take out some fade outs too so it would be one constant go go music then you burn it to cd.

    When it's actually burned on the disc it is headerless PCM, but source files can always be regular pcm WAV or AIF, etc.
    It's not the "Header" that makes a gap. Assuming you are burning DAO with no pregap, any acceptable file should butt up cleanly against the next one and be seamless, provided it is cut to EXACT CD sector lengths (2352 bytes or 1/75 second). This is really where those "tics" or silence gaps come from.
    Nonetheless, I don't recommend using mp3, etc for sources, because you're using an already compressed or "compromised" file.

    You could always just use the crossfade option in Nero. You can set the crossfade as early or as late as you want. The songs will fade from one to the next with or without overlap.
