These two apps might save you some grief one day:
RDILLY is a one click registry backup util. Just click on it and it will create a dated folder with a current snapshot of your registry. You can even run it from the command line as a batch file, timed script, etc. "Unlike NTBackup's system state backup of the registry, the HARDWARE hive is included in the backup folder."

Windrivers Backup will back up your hardware drivers, .inf files, etc to a folder you specify. Nice to have if you need to do a reinstallation of a corrupted driver.
