  1. I am just starting to try out DVD-Lab and I can't get audio to play in the preview playback. I searched the DVD-Lab website for info regarding this and all it says is that the audio during preview mode will be played with whatever application is associated in Windows for that audio file type (Windows Media Player for example).

Does this mean that I can't preview the video and audio together?

I am trying to author a music concert so in order to set chapter point I need to have both audio and video together in the preview to mark the exact points where one song ends and the other begins.

Any info on how to do this will be greatly appreciated.

  2. There is no audio preview in dvdlab.
Use any good player to note the time where you want the chapter. Even virtualdubmod will do.
    WMP sucks.

I like to play the video back in a player, and note the times that I want to insert a chapter. I then create a chapter.txt file with the chapter points, and import the chapter.txt file when in DLP

For instance, chapters at 10 and 20 second marks (HH:MM:SS:FF):
    00:00:10:00
    00:00:20:00

  4. Thanks Jim and George for your replies.

George - This about the chapter.txt file sounds very interesting. Can you please be more specific as to how you import this file into DLP and make the chapter marks based on it? Thanks.

As an example, I would suggest you add a few chapters to a movie in a test project. Then right-click on the movie/Chapter/Export to a text file.

Then delete the movie, or add another movie to your project, right-cllick on the movie/Chapters/IMPORT -- and import the txt file -- it loads in the chapters for you
