I used my digital camcorder and Adobe Premier to capture a VHS movie slideshow.
I now have a 5GB .avi that I need to capture about 100 photos from (jpeg or bmp), and I'm having a hard time figuring an easy way to do it.
Is there some way that I can just play the movie and capture the still frames as they go by?
Thanks

Well if you can open the file in virtualdubmod, scroll to the frame you want, then open the video menu and click on "snap shot source frame"
you then have a choice of what format to save the still. couldn't be easier!!!! -
aaahhhh... but there is an easier way... I figured it out.
-Watch the movie in Premier
-Use the * button on the number keypad to mark frames
-When you have all your frames marked, you can export a movie as a bitmap sequence
-In the settings, only export the marked frames
