    I have some MPEG video (480x480) that was extracted from my TiVo box. When I burn DVD's of it using SVCD2DVD it works great. However, I can't quite fit 2hrs on a DVD, so I edited out the commercials using Womble. Now I find that the DVD player won't let me fast-forward or rewind. Any ideas? Is there some way I can re-process the file so that FF and REW work? Thanks!

    Is this the demo or the registered version?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    So I took the output from Womble and ran it through "GraphEdit" (the s/w I use to extract the MPG from the .tivo file) and now the movie will FF/REW, but the video has lots of weird artifacts. Sigh. This is all voodoo...

  5. Chrissy, I am also having the problem where I cannot FF or RW or move to the next chapter on RC8. If I try to, the DVD player (Sony NS715P) simply stops and goes back to the menu. I am recording using a Haupagge PVR350 with Haupaugge WinTV2000 software on XP. I am a registered user, and this was a clean install onto relatively clean XP (only installed Haupagge PVR, TMPEnc, antivirus, and anti spyware software). I had been using RC5 with the same haupagge software on this PC with a Win2K OS installation and had very good consistent results from SVCD2DVD. I record to MPEG2 480x480 at about 2300kpbs (max 2550 VBR), and use TMPGEnc to edit (Merge&Cut) the files to remove commercials etc.

    Ok. Can you drop me an email to test a version which should resolve this?
