Not sure if this is the correct forum or not but here goes. I've authored 15 DVDs with Ulead DVDWS 2.0. This next project requires me to make a type of demo DVD with clips from the other 15. Problem is that I don't have the m2v and ac3 files on the hard drive anymore. Second problem is that even if I manage to GET the m2v and ac3 files from the finished DVDs, how can I edit them? I use Vegas 5.0 and it doesn't open either type of file onto the timeline...Any ideas? Or should I just go back to the original miniDV tapes and recapture the segments I need, and re-encode them all over again?
Thanks,
Mike

How to convert DVDs back to MPG files or demultiplex DVDs for reauthor or reedit might be of assistance.
If in doubt, Google it.
