Hello,
When you are talking about faults, are you referring to just read errors (unable to read the disc) or errors in the burning process (PI/PIF) counts? There are a number of free programs, I will list the 3 most people seem to use.
1) Nero CD-DVD speed: free tool for analyzing PI/PIF errors and read errors of discs. I would recommend this tool
2) DVDInfoPro: free-with-banner-ads program that does much the same thing. I prefer CD-DVD speed for personal preference.
3) K-Probe: PI/PIF scanning tool for lite-on DVD+/-RW drives
Hope that help a little bit.
