Hi everybody,
Probably a simple question... As far as I understand from other topics, files encoded with Qpel or GMC won't play on many DivX/Xvid compatible DVD-players - mine included. Also, I noticed that my player won't play files encoded with what GSpot calls B-VOP.
Is it possible to remove all of these somehow without having to re-encode the entire file?
Thanks![]()

So your player is SP (Simple Profile) only? No such thing really as a XviD compatible player and a DivX one should at least support b-vops as they are part of the certification. Perhaps it is the number of consecutive ones that is the issue though? The Home Theatre profile only allows for one and it should be packed.
No. You need to re-encode.
B-VOP = bframes.
