I want to convert some home video dv avi files to a CD to send to some relatives so they can watch on their computer. I am not sure what meathod will give me the best quality. Should I convert to a vcd file or to an xvid file for the best quality. I would like to fit about an hour of minidv footage on to a single CD.

Xvid is better than a same size VCD, but they would need to have the xvid codec installed in order to play it.
